Image courtesy of the late Arthur Turner, farmer at Hall Farm. The River Doe Lea in flood

This image is taken down Carr Lane facing east towards Palterton.  Note the railway bridge.
Note the white gate.  In the early 1900s there was a building where the bushes are seen.
I wonder what is the building in the background?

Image courtesy of the late Arthur Turner, farmer at Hall Farm. A view looking towards the Goss and Glapwell pit tips

The 'Goss' wood can be seen left of the image.  Glapwell pit "tips" / spoil/slag heaps can be seen above the trees in the 'Goss'.
Ramcroft pit can possibly be seen, right of image just above mid way.
Which pit tip is top of image?
